Accents of Red
Hi Prepsters;
A couple weeks back for one of my weekly picks, I found these really cute Wide Leg Culotte Pants from Addition Elle, and I knew I was going to have to go out and buy them. (They're on sale for $12 CAD now). I also decided that I wanted to create a monochromatic look with an accent colour, and of course I went with my current favourite, which is red.
I have always been a fan of culottes, I find that they can create a very sophisticated look while still being edgy. I especially liked these ones, because the chiffon material and pleats makes it look like a skirt, until I walk. The midi length is elongating, and perfect for any season.
My top is a cold-shoulder-cutout top from Addition Elle. I love the mock-neck, and the cutouts which add a bit of pizzazz to the look. Because the culottes are so flared, I wore a fitted top to show some shape.
These earrings were gifted to me by BaubleBar, which has some of the coolest, and most interesting designs. However, when I saw these, it was difficult to imagine an outfit that they could work with because of how loud and colourful these earrings are. That is why I knew the best way to pull them off was by keeping a minimalistic outfit.
I had purchased this ring on a trip a few years back from Pakistan. They are handmade, and sold by local venders in many different markets. This one in particular was sold to me by a ten year old boy named Atif, who wanted to support his family.
This Love Moschino bag is one of my favourite bags of all time and bought it from DSW Canada. It also came in a cream and black colour, but the red and black just stood out to me. (this bag is one of the few that I will build entire outfits around)
You might remember that I wore these Aldo shoes (purchased from DSW Canada as well) for my first fashion week which was a year ago. They are honestly one of my most complimented shoes ever. Every time I wear them, women constantly stop and ask me where they can buy them from too. (click here for a similar pair)
