Five Apps To Get You Through Self Isolation + Social Distancing

Thirteen days ago my older brother flew in from the UK, because of that my family and I have been in self-isolation since due to the COVID-19 outbreak. I have created a list of five applications that I really enjoyed using, and made staying at home a little easier.
1 SuperCook
Literally one of the best apps for people that are trying to utilize the food in their homes. All you need to do is open your fridge or panty, and select what ingredients you do have. The app then shows your recipes you can make at home using popular recipe sites.
2 HouseParty
When you feel like seeing your friends, but cant leave, Houseparty is the app for you. Houseparty is a social networking service that enables group video chatting through mobile and desktop apps. Users receive a notification when friends are online and available to group video chat. There is a room maximum of eight people, and friends of friends can join a room unless you lock it. HouseParty also has some fun games you can play that are similar to Pictionary, a tamer Cards Against Humanity, Trivia, and HeadsUp.
3 Instacart
Instacart offers ame-day grocery delivery and pickup service bringing you fresh groceries and everyday essentials in as fast as an hour``. You can shop from multiple stores, but need to spend $10-$15 per store, and the delivery fee is $3.99. If you join Instacart Express, you pay $99/year, or $9.99/monthly and you get unlimited free deliveries on orders over $35. Instacart is a great option for those who are self-isolation, immunology-compromised, tested positive for COVID-19, or apart of any vulnerable population as they do have porch pickup options.
4 Netflix Party
Netflix Party is a new way to watch Netflix with your friends online (a Chrome extension to download for laptops). Netflix Party synchronizes video playback and adds group chat to your favorite Netflix shows. It’s a great way to host long distance movie night, and TV watching parties.
5 Khan Academy
Khan Academy is something I have used throughout university when it was just an educational website. The app allows anyone to learn a multitude of subjects that are well explained by experts, and have worksheets to help you apply these concepts. If you love to learn , this app is definitely for you.
