Two week ago I had the opportunity to get a facial at Oakville’s newest spa called Skoah and It blew me away. Skoah is a company that is based out of Vancouver, and has been offering educational, and pretentious-free facials and products that are all plant based. They offer eight different kinds of facials, and I opted for the power+ hydrate.

The location in North Oakville is beautiful; sleek, clean, and warm. I loved how welcoming everyone was, and how accessible the location is. I also liked how much parking was available.

The Facial

The power facial is 45-minute long and includes an exfoliation, extractions, and a shoulder, scalp, and neck massage. When I arrived for my facial I removed my top, and bra, and laid underneath a pre-warmed blanket (I’m always cold, so this was a feature that felt above and beyond for me). The skincare trainer was very informative and did a full assessment of my skin, shared her concerns, and then picked out custom products to use. I loved the technique the esthetician used; she was extremely gentle, and personable. I also mentioned that I had skin hyper-sensitive skin, and this was the first time I left a facial without hives on my face. My skin was literally glowing, and so hydrated after the facial, I highly recommend trying out Skoah.

Another added bonus is that after the facial, if there are any products you would like to take home, you receive a 10% discount on them. ( I highly recommend the dewlux face kream life 30, which protects the skin and leaves you glowing)

The Must Have Concentrates

Skoah has also released a line of concentrates that retail for $40 CAD that target specific skin concerns.

  • The vitamin c is used for brightening the skin, and can also help reduce the look of hyperpigmentation.

  • The hylauronic acid is a staple item for my dry skin girls, it can hold 1000x its weight in water and makes your skin look plumper.

  • The copper peptide is the ultimate product for damaged or irritated skin. It helps soothe, calm, and heal skin and is an absolute must have if your skin is prone to sunburns.

They can be used alone or with a serum, mask, or moisturizer.
