The Cold Minimalist

Hi Prepster,

I hope you’ve all been having a wonderful week.

The weather has been a little bit indecisive the past few days, so I thought I would post an outfit that would keep you stylish and warm.

I wore a black cashmere blend overcoat from H&M. The piece is nice and light, and paired with a sweater, can get you through those cold frosty mornings.

For my top I wore a black, ribbed, turtle neck from Addition Elle. This piece was from last winter there, and I fell in love with how light it was, yet how warm it kept me. (I even bought it in grey)

A similar style is available at Hudson Bay through Free People’s label

The cuff bracelet was a piece I had purchased in the markets of Karachi, Pakistan. I loved how detailed it was, and the colours that were incorporated into it.

The jeans are the high-rise black skinny jeans available at forever 21 plus. They are extremely comfortable on, and have just enough stretch to move with you.

The houndstooth tan scarf is a great winter accessory that also doubles as a blanket on cold winter days. I had originally bought it from RW&CO, however, it had sold out pretty quickly.

Here are a few similar options from Artizia

As you know, I am the ultimate bootie lover. These lace up, ankle length booties in a tan/khaki color add contemporary vibes to the outfit.

The Tuque is a fun piece for the otherwise minimal look. Its faux fur pom-pom in tan, once again compliments the scarf and the shoes. The white tuque knit adds a little bit of lightness to the otherwise dark outfit.

The black leather tote is by Cole Haan (Palermo Leather tote) – I find it easy to carry and to throw things into quickly. It is a classic piece that will last and stay in style for years to come. It is an essential piece for any woman who is constantly on the move. There are also a few similar styles still available for it.
