The Newsboy Hat

Hi Prepsters!

I wanted to create a really cute modern look to go with this newsboy hat that I bought from Target, when I visited Detroit last month. Initially I didn’t love the hat, and after much persuasion from my brother, I decided to give it a go. Eventually I fell in love with it, and it looks just as cute while wearing a dress, as it does with a pair of jeans!

If you've been following my blog for a while you know I have an obsession with jeans, I just feel very comfortable in them and I feel like they can look good with everything. So what I saw these these cropped bootcut patch jeans (Size 16) I knew I had to buy them. One of the good things about Target is that it carries up to a size 20 in a lot of its denim, while at the same time having an entire plus size section.

The top that I bought is essential boyfriend tshirt (size 1X) from Joe Fresh it is made completely of cotton and is extremely breathable on. I also love that it has a side pocket on the chest and has a rounded bottom.

The faux leather jacket was from Forever21+ (size 2X), and has silver metal detailing that gives it an edgier look. I ordered it online, and saw that it had reviews saying that the jacket runs small, so I ordered up a size, but I definitely could have gone up two sizes. (click here for a similar style)
