Toronto Women's Fashion Week: Day 1

Hi Prepsters!!

As you may, or may not have know, I was chosen to be one of the ambassadors for Toronto Women's Fashion Week this year. It is such a huge honour being able to represent not only the Toronto fashion community, but the plus size girls in it. My outfits for this years TWFW were more representative of who I am, and a truer reflection of my style, so I'm excited to share them with you.

The Outfit

A few months back, one of the girls at my favourite Addition Elle store showed me this leopard print suit in a look-book before it came in, and I knew I needed to have it. A few of you ladies have asked me about input on sizes, so for the blazer, I recommend going up a size if you're busty, and the pants were pretty true to size (they do stretch a little too). The blazer has a belt, which accentuates your waist and curves. It's a light breathable material, and will be a great piece for the summer, or for anyone who gets warm too quickly. I really liked how tapered the pants were, and I also think they will be a great piece to mix and match more neutral tops with throughout the year.

For my accessories, I kept them all silver toned (which by the way is very complimentary to the turquoise colour). The silver, carved metal, full-finger ring is from H&M Canada, and the silver floral ring with black stones, is a vintage one from my grandmother.

I wanted to give a special shoutout to these fabulous Mix No. 6 strappy heels which are exclusively available at DSW Canada. First of all the colour is gorgeous, and the velvet trend is huge this year, so these were perfect for fashion week. Secondly, they were ridiculously comfortable; I managed to wear them all night long, and all the way home without complaining. To all my plus size chickas, block heels are your friends!

Hopefully you guys enjoyed my outfit for day one at Toronto Women's Fashion. I can't wait to show you what I wore on day two.
