TWFW SS18 Day 2
Hi Prepsters,
Today is my one year blogiversary, and I am so grateful for you guys. You have made me a better person, and I just wanted to thank you all for your support and kind messages over the year. I love you all!
This outfit that I'm putting up was from Toronto Women's Fashion Week Day 2. Its one of those outfits that are extremely fall appropriate, yet make you stand out!
This fabulous outfit is by Joe Fresh's plus size women's line. The knit cardigan has become one of my go to pieces because I can both dress by layering it with a dress, or use it for everyday wear over a pair of jeans and a white v-neck t-shirt. I love its vibrant orange colour because it is just gorgeous on all skin tones, and I find because most people wear darker tones during the fall, its refreshing.
I paired it with a fun, printed, white shirt. The building print, and the colour palette was giving me a very London-esque vibe. The pleated pleather skirt is just a gorgeous addition to every girls closet. Its a very versatile item, and I love the pockets that is has. The texture also adds a little bit of sass against the knit of the cardigan.
Finding a pair of opaque plus size tights has always been such an issue for me, and for so many other plus size women. The tights that are generally available become see-through when I put them on my chubby legs (BTW I love my chunky legs), or the crotch is too low, because I am relatively tall. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw plus sized tights at Joe Fresh! They are very true to sizing, and as you can they remained opaque. *sheds a tear of joy*
I found these cute earrings at my local Joe fresh store, and the gold tone looked really nice against the colour palette in this outfit.
One of my favourite pieces from Joe Fresh's entire collection is this gorgeous cross body, black bag with red piping. The straps are both removable and adjustable, giving you the option of using this bag as a clutch as well. The pleather is lightly textured, and looks really great with the pleather skirt.
The sunglasses were picked up by my brother, The Prep Guy, at Joe Fresh. The gold reflective lens, gold arms, really pulled the gold earrings, and the gold stars on my booties together.
My makeup was done by the talented Kevin Toi, who used all Vasanti product. Vasanti is becoming one of my favourite makeup lines because it caters to all skin tones, and the formulations for their products are beyond amazing. The Matte Crush Lipstick Pencil was applied all over my lips in the shade Va Va Voom, lasted the entire night, without any touch ups, and was still comfortable on my lips.
These incredible Mix No. 6 velvet booties found exclusively at DSW Canada, were my most asked about piece at Toronto Women's Fashion Week Day 2. They feature gorgeous star embroidery, and pearl accents, which makes them fun as well as fashion forward. They have become my go to bootie for this fall because how great they look with boyfriend jeans, or even a dress.
Hope you guys enjoyed this outfit as much as I did. Ciao for now <3
