Toronto Men's Fashion: Week Day 2

Day two of TOM's fashion week started out with a bang….from the heavy lighting and rain storm that started, and lasted for the entire night.

My inspiration for Day 2 was to show off a nautical preppy side. I never intended to show up wet, but the storm ensured that we really captured the look for my outfit.

I wore a Navy coat from Zara. The emblem on the chest along with the gold buttons were beautiful details that gave the coat a polished, sophisticated, but wearable vibe.

I paired the Coat with a tucked in white button up shirt I had purchased from the Gap. I loved that it was supposed to be a boyfriend (oversized) fit, but worked perfectly as a regular shirt, as I am bustier.

The pants are a from Old Navy (I recommend going down a size, as they did stretch out). I chose the red colour to as it was complimentary to the navy coat, and brought together the outfit.

My white quilted purse was from purse was from Aldo. I tucked in the straps, and wore it as a clutch to keep the attention towards my outfit. Unfortunately the bag has sold out ( I really tried to find a site selling it), however if youre looking for a similar bag to splurge on, I recommend this Valentino clutch.

Almost all the shoes I had bought for fashion week were from DSW Canada. I had found some great heels there, for some ridiculously low prices (no, I’m not being sponsored by them for this). The shoes I wore for this day are by Tahari, and are currently on sale for less than $20. They were perfect for this look as they connected the shirt, and the bag to the look.

For my hair, I left it in its natural wavy texture. I just added a tiny bit of Marakesh oil to moisturize my dried ends after I showered.

My favorite show, apart from the MensFashion4Hope charity show, was Xian. The designer had almost all monochromatic looks, but brought his flare by adding imprinted sweaters. The juxtaposition from the different materials, and the textures made the show extremely memorable, and showed the talent that this designer has.
